What makes me tick?

Utilizing the tremendous amount of training and personal networking offered to me by previous employers, I  have managed to get a specialized skill-set, blending not just the ability to sell "x" to "y", but understanding how "x" works, and specifically why it personally benefits "y". Through focused immersion into consultative and solution driven sales (serving both the corporate and public sectors), I differentiated myself from my peers by soaking up subject matter like a sponge and emerged as a team leader and veritable information source within each of the sales teams I was a part of. This allowed me to make an impression on my managers, who valued and appreciated my keen interest in the inter-workings of products, and afforded me the opportunity to change gears from a high-powered salesman, to a formidable subject matter expert and innovator, when I accepted an offer into the realm of Product Management and Product Development. I thoroughly enjoy helping others and being a valuable asset to my peers and customers alike.

This transition changed my life outlook and I look forward to continuing my growth as a Product Manager, or any other role revolving around being a subject matter expert and supporting both industry peers and customers, in my next professional endeavor.

PERSONAL INTERESTS

One of my main passions outside of work is seeing live music. It feeds my soul, keeps me on my toes, and my brain always expanding to new horizons with all of the genres (new and old) that exist. This includes traveling when I can, to cities far and wide, to soak in different cities, cultures, and venues; while chasing both new and familiar bands/artists. I also love to take pictures of my experiences and including them on my Instagram profile: @JamzSpace.

Along with the love of live music, I also love listening to music in the comfort of my own home, the favorite mode being on vinyl. I have hundreds of LP's, ranging from vintage funk and rock from the 60's and 70's, to reissues of old albums, to the more contemporary artists of this era, like Post Malone.

Beyond my musical inclinations, I love being active outside in nature. I enjoy to fish and hike whenever I am able. I "glamp", which is to say I don't rough-it while camping, and have acquired a ton of gear over the years where my large tent is not far off from the appointments of home--complete with rugs, table and chairs, a couch, and a comfy air mattress that is far off the ground and complete with real bedding. Beyond living comfortably in the wild, I also like to cook like I am at home as well, concocting chef-inspired meals in unlikely places, such as a garlic and butter-capped steak with wild mushroom risotto, in the middle of a national park.

If not apparent from my last paragraph, I also thoroughly enjoy to cook and eat delicious food. I grew up cooking and baking with my mom, in addition to grilling with my dad, so I have always had a good baseline understanding of how to accomplish a good meal. Beyond that, having cut my adult teeth in Chicago, I was exposed to so many different cuisines and great restaurants, so my palate and inspirations are vast and ever expanding. I am the type of guy to order something memorable at a restaurant and, instead of coming back for more, I go home and try to replicate it.

Having been born in Sarasota, Florida in 1986, I am really happy to be back down in the South... It finally feels like home in the Atlanta area and I am excited about the opportunities that this city has to offer and what I will do next!
